Artists of The Australian Ballet perform in ‘Etudes
The Australian Ballet will celebrate its 50th anniversary this year with a Gala Program commencing on October 31st at Melbourne’s State Theatre.
Guest performers from around the globe including principal dancers, David Hallberg and Julie Kent (American Ballet Theatre), will team with dancers of The Australian Ballet in the Harald Landers ballet, ‘Etudes’.
Coryphee dancer, Halaina Hills will perform in ‘Etudes’ as part of the ensemble.
“As a performer it’s a thrill to have so many stars of the ballet world here on our turf to perform alongside,” she said.
The New York Times once described Etudes as a ‘rite of passage for ballet fans in the 1960s and 70s’.
